When Consolidated was sold to Vultee Aircraft Corporation in 1943 the club was incorporated as a public benefit non-profit corporation. The club was then based at what is now Lindbergh Field in San Diego. The aircraft that Consolidated had provided to the club were transferred to the club by Consolidate Vultee Aircraft Corp. (Convair) at that time.
Since 1943 Consair Flyers, Inc. has been operating aircraft for the enjoyment and training of its members. The Club is operated by a board of directors selected from its membership. The club currently owns one aircraft and operates others on leaseback.
The Club is currently based at Gibbs Flying Service at Montgomery Field in Kearney Mesa in San Diego and has about 100 members and 5 aircraft.
