RESERVATIONS

  1. Consair equipment is scheduled through Schedule Master, an on-line aircraft scheduling service. The service may be accessed using any compliant html browser such as Netscape, Opera, lynx, Internet Explorer, etc. The url is http://www.schedulemaster.com/smlogin.htm. You must have a PIN number and login to use the service. Schedulemaster may also be accessed with a touch tone telephone at (800)683-8055.

  3. You may have only four reservations in the schedule system at any one time.

  5. A one hour per day minimum tachometer time is required for each twenty-four hour local or cross-country reservation.

  7. A filed flight plan is required for a cross country flight of more than 50 NM from MYF. The destination of the cross-country flight is to be noted in the reservation entry.

  9. Reservations will be honored for a late show on local flights for 15 minutes after the reserved time; on cross-country flights for 30 minutes after the reserved time.

  11. If you are unable to use your reservation, be sure to cancel. If you reserved a plane, did not use the plane, and did not cancel, the charge is a minimum of one-half hour of the rate for the reserved plane for a local flight (< 3 hrs) and a one hour charge for a cross-country flight (> 3 hrs).

  13. Advance reservations may be made in the reservation system up to four months ahead and for a period of days or weeks.

  15. Early return: Make the aircraft available for other members by modifying your reservation entry on the system. Anyone waiting for the aircraft to become available will be automatically notified. You can be charged if you do not release your unused time.

  17. Late return (i.e. the aircraft broke down, weather, etc.): Extend your schedule using the "Touch Tone" interface and the 800 telephone number. Anyone who has the aircraft scheduled will be automatically notified.

  19. If the aircraft has to be left at another airport, for repairs, maintenance, weather, whatever, the member leaving the aircraft is responsible for its return to MYF

  21. When canceling a reservation, check for any alternate members during the scheduled time and advise them of the aircraft availability.
PILOT PROFICIENCY
  1. Pilots using Consair aircraft must comply with all FAA rules and regulations. A copy of your license, a copy of your FAA flight review (Formerly BFR), a copy of your club annual flight check, and a copy of your current medical must be on file.

  3. A club annual check flight is mandatory. The club annual check flight can be included with a BFR or Wings program check flight. Forms for the club annual check flight are in the line box.

  5. Warning and grounded notices will be sent to members who do not have on file their current pilots license, club annual, medical or FAA Flight Review. The scheduling system will notify you before your club annual, medical, and/or BFR expire and when they expire you will not be able to schedule aircraft. Contact any club officer to assist you in reserving an aircraft for a check ride after your club annual, medical, or BFR has expired or have your instructor schedule the aircraft for you.

  7. A checkout by a CFI in the make and model must be entered in your log book before solo flight in the same make and model of club aircraft. A copy of your logbook entry is to be on file.

  9. Flight Instruction may only be given to Consair members.

  11. Only Consair members may act as pilot-in-command of aircraft operated by the Club.

  13. Members are required to have a right seat check out from a Club approved Instructor Member to act as pilot-in-command from the right seat. Members are to notify the operations officer or other Board member before each flight the member acts as pilot-in-command from the right seat with a non-member in the left seat.
OPERATIONS LOG SHEET AND REFUELING
  1. In each aircraft there is an operations log for recording each pilot's tach time and other details of the flight. Extra blank operations log forms are in the line box. If the whole tenths number is not visible in the tachometer, round up.

  3. If there is a discrepancy between the tach and the amount written on the log, note the correct amount on the next line. DO NOT change the previous pilot's time or entry in any way.

  5. Indicate "YES" in the DUAL column when receiving instruction and write the name of the instructor in the appropriate space.

  7. For FUEL, enter the amount added. For OIL, Enter the amount of oil added.

  9. For squawks, enter either YES or NO and write a detailed explanation on the Squawk Sheet.

  11. Refuel at the Phillips MYF fuel island (Crownair), per procedures for the aircraft, before returning the aircraft to the line tie down. If the island is closed, you can fuel at the island self-service using your credit card, or call Gibbs for refueling from the truck in the morning. For the C-172s, position the fuel selector to the right tank for refueling. Leave the fuel selector on the right tank after your flight.

SQUAWK SHEET/MALFUNCTIONS AND AIRCRAFT GROUNDING
  1. The purpose of the squawk sheet is to record problems. On the squawk sheet enter your name date, and describe precisely what the squawk covers. Use one line for each squawk. Do not combine several different squawks on a single line.

  3. Report avionics squawks to the avionics officer and all other squawks to the maintenance officer. If the squawk is a condition that makes the aircraft not airworthy, ground the aircraft with the red grounded tag, call the next person on the reservation schedule and notify an officer, owner, or Board member.

  5. Extra squawk sheets are available in the line box.

  7. Approvals for any repairs to the aircraft must be obtained from the owner, maintenance or avionics officer. Be aware that if you decide to get something fixed without prior approval, you may not be reimbursed.

INSURANCE
  1. Liability limits are $3,000,000 total; $100,000 per seat bodily injury. The insurance deductible may be covered in accordance with the Club's Insurance Deductible Reserve (IDR) Fund requirements.

  3. Any accident or incident must be reported immediately to the operations officer or to a Board member.

  5. No commercial use or subleasing of Club aircraft is allowed.

CLUB ETIQUETTE
  1. Take time to do a weight and balance, not all Club Aircraft are alike. Simplified aircraft data sheets are available in the aircraft, the line box and the scheduling book.

  3. Complete and thorough preflights are essential for safety and to avoid assessment for damages.

  4.  
  5. Oil levels are to be maintained within 1.5 quarts of capacity. Be sure to use the proper grade of oil. Recommended oil type is on the aircraft data sheet (available in the aircraft, line box and scheduling book). Extra oil of the proper type should be in the aircraft baggage compartment. When using the oil supplied in the baggage compartment replace it when you refuel the aircraft. Do not over tighten the caps.

  7. When cleaning the windshields use water or cleaner supplied in the line box and soft cloth towel only.

  9. Pull aircraft forward prior to start to check tires and get aircraft out of wheel depressions in the asphalt.

  11. Look behind the aircraft prior to start for personnel and other aircraft open doors, etc.

  13. Montgomery 28L has a small run up area, take care not to blast other aircraft. Request to use the run up area on the other side if available.

  15. Easy on the throttle during all ground operations, particularly around people and other aircraft. When returning to the flight line, stop on the yellow stripe without increasing power or turning.

  17. Follow all recommended noise abatement procedures. The city is serious about the noise at MYF. They have been assessing stiff fines for offenders, even first timers.

  19. Follow manufacturer recommended leaning procedures.

  21. Treat the aircraft like it was your own, or better.

  23. Towbars shall be used to position park the aircraft. Do not push down on any part of the empennage to maneuver the aircraft. Do not drop or rest the toe bar on the nose wheel pant.

  25. Do a postflight check for your protection.

  27. After the flight, be sure to replace control locks and remove all trash from the aircraft.

  29. After the flight tie down the aircraft securely. Chains or ropes should be going in opposite directions so the aircraft cannot move. Chock the nose wheel.

  31. No dirt strip operations without prior board member approval.

  33. Check with the operations officer or treasurer regarding availability of aircraft for Mexico operations.

  35. No smoking in any club aircraft.

  37. Floatation devices are available in the line box for trips to Catalina. Beware of loose gravel at Catalina, push the aircraft in and out of the parking spot with the towbar. Don't forget to pay the landing fee.
